Thrilling... Energetic... Original... these are the words often used by fans and industry insiders alike when describing the recorded and live music of nationally touring pop-rock band Attila and the Huns. For nearly seven years, the Dynamic Trio of brothers Andrew, Matthew and Phil O’Donnell have been sharing their own brand of musical excellence with fans the world over.
The brothers supply all of the musical talent on their four full-length CDs and numerous EPs, their multi-instrumental talents providing a unique sonic experience - running the gamut from a stripped down punk sound that has been compared to The Ramones, to lush horn and string arrangements which have been called by many “Beatle-esque”. Comparisons with more modern acts like My Chemical Romance, Kings of Leon and Mumford and Sons are also frequently cited by fans. The band loves playing live for their fans, and has repeatedly toured many sections of the country. They have also broadcast many shows live on the Internet to a global audience who cannot wait for the next show. When performing live, the band calls upon the considerable talents of allied musicians, some of whom have been traveling with them since the band’s inception. In short, the band will do anything to provide the audience with an experience they will not soon forget. Attila and the Huns’ fifth Studio CD, produced by legendary Fishbone Bassist Norwood Fisher, is in production, but the first single “Pickering Wharf” has been released and has been receiving airplay across the US and the UK. A techno remix of the song “Strollaway”, produced by Oliver the Spoilt Kid, is also receiving airplay in the UK and will soon be released in the US. The band just completed filming a role in the upcoming horror movie “The Return of the Loch Ness Monster from Outer Space”, having also supplied several original songs for the soundtrack.
